Octopus renewables has brought the Broons/Biterne-Sud winds farms in France. The transition took place from Energiequella and the capacity of the farm is 14 MW. The price has not been disclosed yet by Octopus.
The wind farm was received the final modification permit in February 2019 and it is located in the Cotes d’Armor region in north-east Bittany. The wind farm has 6 Enercon E-92 turbines that are equipped with pre-cast concrete towers at 2 different hub heights.
4 turbines have a hub height of 104 metres, the other two are 98 metres high. This is done due to the air traffic control.
The energy produced is fed into Enerdis electricity grid via two sub stations. French projects sales manager Julia Timm said: “We are very pleased to have gained Octopus Renewables as a new investor and partner for what we hope will be a long-term cooperation.”
Energiequelle was advised by Envinergy on the transaction.
