A 250MW capacity Interstate Transmission System (ISTS) solar project, SECI-3 has been commissioned by ReNew Power on the 9th of September, 2021 in the Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan. The project has a total capacity of 300MW and the rest 50MW will be in operation by the end of September 2021. The project was fetched by ReNew Power conducted by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).

ReNew is India’s leading renewable energy Independent Power Producer (IPP) and is the 10th largest global renewable IPP by operational capacity.

The plant has monocrystalline panel modules with fixed tilt and string inverters to enhance project efficiency. Along with that robotic module, cleaning is also present to conserve water in a dry state like Rajasthan.

The project has a Power Purchasing Agreement of 25-year to provide clean electricity at a price of INR 2.55/kWh to the state of Bihar. Along with that company from this project aims to provide 600 people with direct employment.

According to the Founder, Chairman and CEO Sumant Sinha, ReNew is another step towards achieving close to 18 GW of installed renewable energy capacity by 2025. As of August 31, 2021, ReNew Power has a total capacity of 10.2 GW out of which 5.8 GW is operational across the wind, solar and hydro energy projects in India and the rest is under construction or in the pipeline.
