NTPC has invited bids for building a 100 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Maharashtra. The invite was floated by Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN).

The invite was floated by NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN), it is a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited. The tender is an EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) tender along with which land will be provided to develop the grid-connected system.

December 20, 2021, is the last date to submit bids. The next day bids will be opened.

Each project will be at least 2 MW, and the maximum individual project capacity developed in a district should not be more than 10 MW. The project should be designed for delivering energy at 11 kV level to an MSEDCL substation. A list of the MSEDCL substations in the district is provided.

The scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packaging, forwarding, installation and commissioning of the project. The bidder shall provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for the solar project for a period of 3 years.

To participate as a bidder, the bidder shall have a minimum ₹54 million turnover in the last 3 financial years.

Earlier this month, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, invited bids from contractors for an EPC package and land to develop inter-state transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar projects up to 1,200 MW capacity in Karnataka.
